Booking Through Thursday- Recent Best

btt button

What’s the best book you’ve read recently?

(Tell me you didn’t see this one coming?)

The best book I've read recently was Elizabeth Strout's Olive Kitteridge, which I haven't reviewed yet, a novel in short stories centering on the title character, Olive Kitteridge, and taking place mostly in Maine. It's a lovely, literary, and beautifully-written.

You can read more Booking Through Thursday here.

I have Olive Kitteridge on my TBR pile so I am glad to know that it is a recent favourite; so many bloggers hold the book in such high opinion and I really must read it soon.

I can't wait to read this book. I have heard nothing but good things about it.

I did not like this one as much as I thought I was going to. Maybe I will have to read it again. The stories that did not contain Olive were boring to me and distracted me.

This one was nearly last on my list of books right before I started my blog. i need to go back and write a review of it. It's quite a keeper. It was my "yay it's Pulitzer Day" purchase and I wasn't disappointed.
