Friday Finds - Just a Few

So a few new things to add to the stash.
I won Glorious in a giveaway on Raging Bibliomania, one of my favorite blogs. Thank you Heather! And if you're not reading her awesome blog, go!
Beirut 39, an anthology of Arabic writers, came from Bloomsbury and is really great so far.

I treated myself to the illustrated edition of Yann Martel's Life of Pi on a recent trip to a local Borders. It's just beautiful. If you love Life of Pi you have to get this amazing version. The paintings are incredible!

Finally, Ekaterina Sedia's second novel, Alchemy of Stone, arrived via Bookmooch. I'm a big fan of her first book, The Secret History of Moscow, and I can't wait to read this one too.

What great books did you add to your TBR pile this week?

When I glanced at your post, I couldn't believe that you've never read The Life of Pi, but now I realize that you just got a new edition. Enjoy!

I love this trend to put out illustrated editions of some books. It certainly does add to the Dan Brown books, and I can see that this one would be beautiful also.

Thanks for the kind words, Marie! I just love your new edition of Life of Pi and think I might have to grab a copy for myself! I also hope that you enjoy Glorious. It was a really interesting read. Alchemy of stone also sounds like a good one, and one that I don't know much about. Off to investigate...

Kathy! OF COURSE I've read it! :-D

Blodeuedd- doesn't it? I loved her last book so much.

Jill- not to be too sarcastic but anyone trying to improve a Dan Brown book probably doesn't have too big a hurdle, LOL :-)

Zibilee, Trisha- the Life of Pi is gorgeous! GET IT! :-)

I loved Life Of Pi but had no idea there was an illustrated version, another book for my wish list. Thanks to the link to Raging Bibliomania, I'm of there now.

I did love The Life of Pi. I'll have to check out the picture version. The Secrets of Newberry came to me this week by Victor McGlothin, also Lady of the Butterflies, by Fiona Mountain. Alas... desperately wanting more time to read. Thankfully, summer vacation is near. Yippee.
