The titles all sound good. I hope you enjoy them all!

I have had Caramelo on my shelves for such a long time, so I will be really interested in hearing what you think about it. Also, the cover for Hygiene and the Assassin is rather disturbing looking, what with that huge head hanging around! I hope that you enjoy all your new reads!

I enjoy your video blog very much. I have really enjoyed your Russo-Literary month. Almost all the books sound interesting. Thanks BB

great finds!

i do love Cisneros. if you haven't yet picked up 'Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories,' she has some phenomenal stories in there.

I picked up Carmelo and started it but wasn't able to finish and hadn't gotten back to it.. looking forward to hearing how it went for you.

I loved House on Mango Street too, and I loved Caramelo even more when I read it. :D It's fat, but the pages flew by for me!

I'm yet another person who has Caramelo on my shelves waiting for me to make time to read it.

Oh, and I think it might have been The Feminist Texican Reads who ran the giveaway--that's who brought the book to my attention.

I've always meant to read The House on Mango Street! I've not heard of the books you actually got this week, but they look enticing. Enjoy your reading!
