It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

One of these days I'll write a real blog post again, but until then...

I finished Cotton Comes to Harlem just in time for my book club but I had a lot going on last week and don't even remember what it was about. Everyone in the group liked it and I'll give it another go at some point. But I'm moving on for now.

The Madonna on the Moon, by Rolf Bauerdick, is about Communist society after World War 2 and a boy growing up in a fictional Eastern European country. His teacher disappears after making an anti-government remark in class and two important figures from the town also show up dead at the same time. What's going on? It's a lively and fun read so far. I'll probably be reading it for two more weeks.
I started Charlotte Bronte: A Fiery Heart, by Claire Harman, at the gym. It's a biography of the author of Jane Eyre and so far it's really engaging and fun. I have a long way to go on this one too.

Finally I'm still on Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief, by Lawrence Wright, the book about Scientology that came out a couple of years ago. It's so good you guys. Seriously. I want to stay up late reading it but I don't want it to end. Sadly I will probably finish it this week.

What about you?
