Saturday Snapshot- Summer Tart

Made from a recipe in Dorie Greenspan's Baking From My Home to Yours, I made this tart for a cookout a couple of weeks ago. It was my first attempt making pastry cream and I can safely say it will not be my last!

Edit: Jeff did the decoration!

Wonderful picture! I absolutely love Dorie Greenspan. Her baking book has been my bible in the kitchen. There isn't a single recipe that hasn't turned out great.

Whoa, you made that?! It's gorgeous! I love baking, but have never tried a tart. Will have to check out Dorie Greenspan. Nice job!

That's gorgeous! You're so talented! The strawberries look great, too. Out in the desert, it's really hard to find nice strawberries so I tend to avoid desserts using them, but that sure makes me want to try to find some! And I love the plate!

Based on how that looks, I think you could open your open shop. That thing is almost too gorgeous to eat!

What a beautiful looking tart and I have a good feeling it tasted even better!

I think of this tart as the quintessential summer dessert - do you take orders ?!
