This week has been a fun week in reading. I read Dario Fò's
The Pope's Daughter, a retelling of the story of Lucrezia Borgia, daughter of Pope Alexander VI, Rodrigo Borgia. It's written like nonfiction; the narrative voice has a lot of authority and tells the story like a history book. The book is also peppered with the author's illustrations of various personages. I enjoyed it.
This week I'm still reading
Flood of Fire (I will be for a while) and I started an older book, Daniel Venegas's rediscovered work
The Adventures of Don Chipote, a satire version of Don Quixote about a Mexican migrant to the United States. The book was written in the mid-20th century and appeared in English for the first time in 2000.

The Don Quixote story is something I dont know but obviously it has a connection to the Mexican saga of Trump which was (for me) horrendous. I hope someone will clarify.
