Last week I asked what was the most popular book in your library- this week I'm going to ask about the most unpopular books you own. Do you have any unique books in your library- books only you have on LT? How many? Did you find cataloging information on your unique books, or did you hand-enter them? Do they fall into a particular category or categories, or are they a mix of different things? Have you ever looked at the "You and none other" feature on your statistics page, which shows books owned by only you and one other user? Ever made an LT friend by seeing what you share with only one other user?I know a couple of you asked this question on your blogs last week when I asked about the most popular book, so if you've already answered this question don't feel like you have to answer it again.
My answer: I have 35 unique books in my LT account. Many of them are zines that I hand-entered, and many others are small press books that may only be available in my region or from very few sources. Some of my favorite unique entries are City Gardens by Pierre Nessmann, Scott Mercer's Lulu.com classic Bigfoot vs. Chupacabras, and A Sense of Place : Collected Maine Poems, edited by Lillian B. Kennedy. One of my favorite cookbooks is also unique to my library- Kenny Cooks America, by Kenny Miller, which contains an awesome cheesecake recipe. I made one LT friend from the "You and none other" feature, QuietProfanity, with whom I share How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, as well as 32 other titles. At the time we were the only users who had How to Lose A Guy; now there are a whopping 7!
I'm surprised there's not more copies of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days on LT. Was that before the movie came out?

ReplyDeletethekoolaidmom- no! :-) it was actually recently! but then again a 50-odd page book of crayon sketches hardly counts as a book. i tried to make a case for it as a graphic novel once & this professional comics artist i know basically laughed at me :-)
