Booking Through Thursday

Since “Inspiration” is (or should) the theme this week … what is your reading inspired by?

My reading is inspired by my love of language and beautiful writing. I read because I love getting wrapped up in gorgeous prose and a compelling plot peopled by fascinating characters. I read because I love to be transported, broadened and because I love to learn. Simple enough!

What makes up my TBR pile and why? Well, that's another story!

  5. A good book will help, but there is my craving and mood.

Reading choices are always like double-edged sword. I want to be part of others' reading context but my whim sometimes just won't allow it.

In short, what inspires me is my own volition and whim.

  7. Great answer Marie and I like that you have a slightly different take on this question than the way I originally perceived it!

  8. Curiosity inspires my reading. It started in high school when I discovered non-fiction. Nowadays when I read non-fiction it leads me all over the place. That is the reason I usually have a huge pile of books underway. The problem is how to limit the ones I read simultaneously.

With fiction it is the enjoyment that inspires. If find a new author I really like then I want to read everything of theirs.
