- The Moonflower Vine, by Jetta Carleton, which I'm loving,
- Growing Up, by Angela Thirkell, a during-the-war novel set in rural England, a wonderful treat of a book, and
- I'm starting The Prague Cemetary, Umberto Eco's new book, later today.
I can't wait to tell you more about The Moonflower Vine. I know a lot of you would really like it! I'm trying not to blaze through it but it's a wonderful read, one you don't want to put down and don't want to ever finish.

My husband pre-ordered the Jobs book, and can't wait to get started with it as well! The Moonflower Vine sounds very interesting, and I will be eager to see what you think of it. I am reading The Lady of the Rivers by Gregory. A guilty pleasure, I think!

Im gonna try finishing up Hunger Games this week. I've never been able to read multiple books at the same time, usually like to stick to one and finish it before I start another but maybe I'll try it sometime!

I was reading "Jamarch's Menagerie" by Carol Birch, but after getting into another argument ove Russian literature with my friend Columbine (her side of the argument can be read here: http://violetimpudence.tumblr.com/post/11916098044/russian-vs-american-books ), I will go to library and take out "Ilf and Petrov's American Road Trip: The 1935 Travelogue of Two Soviet Writers", because while I suggested "12 chairs" by the same authors to my friend, someone from Russia told she uses the road trip one as gently leading Americans to Russian lit.
