The Heart is a Lonely Hunter Read-along

So there's a read-along going on, starting April 7 for Carson MCullers' classic The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I remember falling in love with this book the summer before my junior year of high school, when I had to read it for the following year's English class. I haven't read it since then though I recently acquired a copy and hoped to find time for a re-read. Well, here's my opportunity. The LibraryThing group The Clocks Have Stopped is running a read-along.

Go here to join and start reading on April 7!

I listened to this 3-4 years ago, and was enthralled. Stunning writing and poignant story.

Enjoy the read-along.

Looking forward to my first read of Carson McCullers classic! Thanks for promoting the read along and of the group, Marie! I'll be very curious also, besides enjoying a great book, just observing how The Heart is a Lonely Hunter influenced the work of Steve Erickson.

I can't join the read-a-long but look forward to your reports on your participation. I've never read this book but have it on my shelf so maybe I will get around to it this year.
