It's been a weird week for me- family stuff, traveling- so I'm a little off my game when it comes to reviewing, but I'll be back next week, I promise!
In the mean time whatever else is going on, I did get some book shopping in- I swear I have a sixth sense for finding bookstores. We were out last night in a weird, random outdoor shopping mall that seemed to have no bookstores, until I said "hey, what's over there, across the street where I can't even see anything? I think it might be a bookstore!"
And I was right. It was a Barnes and Noble. Not exactly indie-cool, but all things considered I was thrilled.
Anyhoo, I bought an interesting-looking book called Bowl of Cherries, the debut novel by ninety-something co-creator of Mister Magoo Millard Kaufman. Supposedly a comic novel and coming of age story, it looks to be fun.
What did you get up to this week?

I am curious to see what you think of "Bowl of Cherries". Sounds interesting, and I am always looking for something a bit quirky but some very mixed reviews on Amazon so far.
That's hilarious! I always hunt around for bookstores too and go ooh maybe there's one over there! Or make someone turn around the car to go back to one we passed ;)
I got The Sixties by Richard Avedon in the bargain section of Barnes and Noble for 12.99! I could not believe it. A beautiful book of photography that may be out of print, for that!
Let me know what you think! :)
