So I only got one new book this week, but as far as I'm concerned it's the only one that matters- the ARC of A.S. Byatt's new novel, The Children's Book.I have started reading it but at over 700 pages it will be awhile before I'm done!
It's being released in October and right now the plan is to write a review when I finish, then repost it when it's released along with a week of reviews of other Byatt novels and short story collections.
The book is already out in Britain and I know some of you have purchased the hardcover and I eagerly await your reviews, as well as reviews from those of you who have also received an ARC.
Certainly there are other upcoming releases that are exciting- Kazuo Ishiguro has a new collection of short stories coming out, Margaret Atwood has a new one soon as well- and while I'm certainly very interested in those, nothing for me can compare to a new Byatt. Thank you so much to Random House for sending me this book!

Hooray! You know, when we were pining for this one on Twitter the order day, I had no idea it was out in the UK already! I realized it yesterday, and immediately ordered my copy from TheBookDepository. I can't wait to read it :D

Hope you enjoy the book. And that's cool that Kazuo Ishiguro has a short story collection coming out. I haven't always enjoyed his plots, but I like his writing a lot.
Admittedly my copy is British but it is only 615 pages. I hope they didn't leave anything out.
I've only just begun but I can tell it's going to be wonderful.
