I saw this over at Shelley’s, and thought it sounded like a great question for all of you:
“This can be a quick one. Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.”
My fifteen books:

interesting. I have never even heard of some of them and I am a librarian. Guess I had better check out the rest of them.
Good list! I debated a bit about whether or not to include "Lolita" on mine, and finally had to let it go. It was really hard limiting myself to just fifteen titles - I could have gone on and on.
Wow... I have never heard of some of those.. I will have to peruse your list!!
Thanks for the information!
Lolita is amazing, but it was also very disturbing ... it is another that will stick with me I am sure.
Interesting list. Some I knowand a few to go and investigate. Possessionwouldhave been my number sixteen!
I forgot Steinbeck! How could i?!
Stuck forever and ever!

East of Eden made my list, too. I really need to read Possession.
Persuasion is one of my all time favorite books -- great choice and great list!
Good list! I own CUTTING FOR STONE but haven't read it yet. Guess I better get busy!!!!

That's so funny. I forgot Persuasion and Jane Eyre as well. I did mine pretty quickly, though.
A.S. Byatt 3 times? Maybe I need to hurry up and get to Possession.
Yay for Cutting for Stone. I almost picked that one. The Handmaid's Tale is still haunting me.
My full list.
I forgot the Narnia books too!
East of Eden is on my list also. It's one of my favorite reads. I love that you picked Frog and Toad. I have a lot of childhood favorites on my list.

Ooh, good list - I completely forgot about Possession and Alias Grace when I did mine.
I've only read The Handmaid's Tale from your list. Interesting book. A bit scary.
Great choices. I recently read Possession and thought is was great. I also love great Expectations and have read East of Eden. I 've acquired a copy of Alias Grace. I will move it to the top of the pile since you liked it so much. And I didn't request an ARC of The Cutting Stone but I'm hearing good things about it. I must get a copy. This was a fun theme to do. My list is up.
I loved Gone with the Wind and started on a Walk in the Woods - good book, just didn't have time to read it. Will have to try again soon because I know I enjoyed what I started reading.
Love all A.S. Byatt books and somehow did not think to include them on my list. I think my sentimental choices from childhood crowded them out. Happy reading!
Never heard of some of these, but will check them out!
Never heard most of them..sorry
I haven't read any of the books on your list but I have some of them on my wish list :)
Enjoy your weekend!
Great list. I would have a few of those on my list too...Gone With the Wind, Handmaid's Tale and East of Eden for sure. Then there's others I'll need to check out further.
