Friday Finds
A variety of Friday Finds this week!
V: The Second Generation, by Kenneth Johnson. Can I tell you a secret? I am a lame V fangirl. I got this from the Barnes & Noble bargain table, and a good thing, too- somehow I doubt it will turn out to be a classic of Western literature.
More likely to be is The True History of the Kelly Gang, Peter Carey's Booker Prize winner. It came from Bookmooch.
Victor Lodato's Mathilda Savitch came to me from my friends at Macmillan. Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

You did get quite the variety! Your secret is safe with me. Enjoy!
I have seen the Carey book in the library, perhaps I should read it
I would like to know your views on those!
Friday Finds
a good variety. happy reading
I'm going go out on a limb and say that you're not a lame V fangirl. Hahaha. Especially if it's the same as the V TV show, then you now look like you've been a fan all along, while the rest of us are simply hangerson.
I loved the series V that was on when I was a kid. I've only caught 1/2 of an epsidoe of the new series. Looks good though!
I loved V growing up!
My Finds are HERE
happy reading
Nothing lame about being a V fangirl! I remember watching the original show and loving it! Haven't made up my mind yet about the remake, but will give it a chance.
Not familiar with the other two, but they look interesting. Enjoy!
Are you watching the new version of V on ABC? I'm totally digging it!
Michelle, yeah, I'm watching. I kinda have to, you know? :-)
Your V book intrigues me. I didn't watch the old series, but I am loving the new one and can't wait each week for it to come on. Will you be posting a review of that particular book?
Zibilee, No. :-) See yesterday's BTT post- I skimmed enough of it to know I don't want to read it. It's just for my V book collection. When I was a kid I collected all the tie-in paperbacks and flipped my lid when I discovered there had been another, more recent one! :-)
It's amazing to me, now that the new V series is out, how many people were/are fans of the original miniseries. I thought I was one of the few, but it seems everyone I know is a fan, too. I did watch the replay of the series on SyFy a couple weeks back but haven't gotten around to watching the new series yet.
