Sunday Salon

I'm finding myself a little at a loss today for things to share with you; the past week has been busy with work and next week will be interesting, but this weekend has been very, very quiet as I recover from one and prepare for the next. I hope to have more to say about that next Sunday- stay tuned!

For today, I think I'm going to stay home and read. I'm appallingly far behind on everything and getting all kinds of emails from people whose books I promised to review asking me when they can expect their reviews and I don't have any good answers for them! I just received my latest LibraryThing Early Reviewer win, Jon McGregor's Even the Dogs, and I'm two books behind on my Early Reviewer books so I really need to make some serious tracks this week. Sea of Poppies, the oldest of the three, is coming with me on my travels all this week. I have got to finish!

And I want to get going on the Complete Booker Prize challenge. My goal for the week is to write my introductory post and post some of the reviews I've written of Booker winners.

Well, for the moment, back to my Slanket and my tea. I hope you all have a great Sunday!

I look forward to your reviews of the Booker Prize winners. They may give me the encouragement to join in the challenge.

Oh, I'm totally jealous of the Slanket! I hope you get lots of reading done today.

Oh good, so I'm not the only one behind on ER books and gettting the emails. *whew!* Of course, I'm probably the farthest behind... but still, not the ONLY one. :-D

I know what you mean about finding something to post for TSS. With all the Bloggiesta stuff, I was at a loss for what to discuss. Of course, my kids and the email box inspired a rant... bothare great for that ;-)

rest up and read up :-)

You're reading Sea of Poppies for LT? And you won Sea of Dogs? If the other LT book you need to read is Family Britain, then we are LT twins because those are the three books I have yet to read. I'm hoping to finish Sea of Poppies today or tomorrow.

Will look forward to your review of Sea of Poppies, which I started but did not finish. Decided I didn't care for how women were portrayed. Would love to hear your points of view! Hope you'll visit my Sunday Salon

I hope the LT book is a good one! I've discovered some great new-to-me authors via the program. But, I'm behind in reviewing, too, so I forced myself to delete the email letting me know about January selections.

Have a great week!

The challenges of commitments. I should make fewer. Then I would not even think about why I have not read Sea of Poppies yet despite having acquired it prior to publication. Sigh. Good luck with all of this. Hope it turns out to be a relaxing day after all is said and done.

I haven't received an LT ER book in over a year. I am so lucky, all the time that is saving me..lol

I am suffering a little guilt right now from the ER program - I have gotten the 'friendly reminder' emails about the books I've received and not reviewed yet. I don't know how the book bloggers who get so many ARCs do it!
