Happy Blogiversary to me!

I honestly wasn't sure I was going to make it this year.

This last year of blogging has been the most difficult yet. I keep on reading- can't seem to quit that- but my day to day has really veered away from books, and my dwindling involvement in the literary world has coupled with a diminished interest in blogging. I actually unsubscribed from emails from a formerly favorite publisher and I have only written a couple of reviews since October.

But sometimes you get that second wind right when you feel like you could just as easily hang it up.

So here I am. Thanks to everyone who reads and/or comments. I don't know who all of you are anymore- the blogiverse has changed so much and so many of my old blogging friends aren't doing it anymore or do it less or have moved on to other roles in life or the book industry- but I appreciate you.

It does seem to get harder and harder to maintain a blog. Congratulations on making it another year!

Happy blogiversary! I'm coming up on my 10th and can hardly believe it. Glad you're still here; I'm still reading!

Happy blog anniversary, Marie! The blogging community has changed so much in the past decade or so, hasn't it? And yet here we are, hanging in there, somehow. I do enjoy your posts and updates on Facebook. Here's to making it another year!

I'm sure it's hard to keep going for all those years but I'd be real sorry if you shut down the blog. I read every post you write and I've followed up many of your recommendations. In particular I have Gestures in my library - and what an unsung treasure it is.
Hope you get a fresh wind and renewed enthusiasm

Finding your blog many moons ago, encouraged me to start my own bookish blog!
