Sunday Salon: New Year, Another New Look

So I've changed it up again. My most recent old logo art was an AI drawing and I've been feeling bad about using AI art so I found some pictures on the Smithsonian's website that are free to use and I picked a few things to play around with. The background in particular is fun; it's from a collection called Larkin Wallpapers and since Larkin is a significant name for me I thought it was fitting.

The beginning of the year has been kind of busy and crazy. We had a death in the family on New Year's Day; my husband's uncle died suddenly which has been very sad. There will be a memorial in late March.

I am taking a class online called Early Jewish Literature which has been fun. And I just signed up for a Yiddish class in the spring. Hopefully I'm not too slow to catch on this time. /snark

This past week was like a giant reboot with medical appointments, piano getting back on track and more. I missed a bunch of weeks of lessons and my repertoire piece is sounding pretty bad right now but my teacher is a champ and has been pushing me through. He's so great. I love the piano so much.

I also attended a quilting retreat recently and with the return of my sew-jo have been busily working through my current projects. I got a lot done at the retreat, much more than I anticipated, and it's been great to get my momentum back up. There's more stuff about that on my sewing blog, sewverywrongmarie.blogspot.com.

What have you been up to? Tell me in the comments.

Sorry about your uncle.
Medical appointments, tho necessary, seem to fill up my calendar at times. Luckily, I have only one more so far this month. Hope things go smoothly the rest of this month.
