Well I spent some time with All Russians Love Birch Trees and now I'm on to
If I Had Your Face, by Frances Cha, about a group of Korean women and their pursuit of happiness through beauty and cosmetic surgery. It's told from alternating points of view and it's interesting. I heard about it first from my boss at Greenlight (hi Rebecca!) and then I saw it again at McNally Jackson in a display of books about female friendship. I bought the book back in 2020 from Porter Square Books, one of my first pandemic online book purchases, and have had it in on the shelf since then. Now it's on my nightstand!
Everything else is the same as last week. Still enjoying (if that's the right word) Stephanie Foo's What My Bones Know and Quietly Hostile by Samantha Irby on audio.
