New on the Shelf

I got rid of two bags of mostly unread ARCs this weekend, distributed to two of the many Little Free Libraries in my town so that opened up some space in my apartment.  I'm working on a big post about them but for now I'll just tell you about the two new books I added to my library this week.

Fellowship Point, by Alice Elliott Dark, has been on my wishlist ever since the great and powerful Joanna Smith Rakoff shouted it out. I found a copy at my local used bookstore, where I volunteer once a week.

I got Swann in Love in the mail unsolicited from Penguin Random House. It's a beautiful gift-quality edition of this short story that appears in Marcel Proust's A la Recherche des Temps Perdus. It would be a lovely present for the bibliophile in your life. You can buy it at Bookshop.org here. That's an affiliate link and I would receive a small portion of the sale.

That's it! I really have not been buying books much. I have a big Christmas wishlist and I'm taking a six-week class on early Jewish literature in January so plenty are on their way!
