I'm still on Jewish Literature: A Very Short Introduction though I should finish it tonight. My class starts tomorrow so I'd better.
I finished The Promise (and reviewed it last week) and started on Cars on Fire, by Mónica Ramón Riós, translated from Spanish by Robin Myers. It's a Chilean novel, a series of interconnected stories and vignettes centered around themes of death, immigration and more. It's fascinating and a great read. I got it for Christmas last year so I guess it came from Powell's since that is where my husband often orders my books from.
In audioland I'm still on How Yiddish Changed America and How America Changed Yiddish by Ilan Stavans.
