It's (not) Monday; What Are You Reading?

Because of the holiday weekend I fell behind on blogging and I think this is going to be a pretty slow posting week for me.

I started reading Minae Mizumura's A True Novel, which I featured on last Friday's Shelf Control, and blew through the first 200 pages pretty quickly. It's about 800 pages overall so I may be reading it for a while. It's interesting and immersive!

In nonfictionland I am reading Maggie Smith's You Could Make This Place Beautiful, her memoir mostly about her divorce, which I am really loving. I am a big fan of her poetry.

That's it for me right now. I don't think there will be a movie review this week but I will try to review one of the books I finished recently. Have a great week!

I'm reading a book about David Koresh and Waco. It's so bizarre reading books about major events that I recall explicitly from my younger days.
