What a Library Means to a Woman didn't really work out for me (so far) so I decided to put it aside in favor of
Born to Kvetch: Yiddish Language and Culture in All of Its Moods, by Michael Wex. I feel like I read this book a long time ago, like maybe when I got my first synagogue job, but I don't remember anything about it; I left a review on it in LibraryThing dated July of 2007 which makes sense because that's about when I started working in that arena. I barely remember it. Anyhoo now I'm studying Yiddish so it's more relevant anyway. I did not have any real use for this information at that time because reasons.
What are you reading?
