New on the Shelf

I know, it's been less than a week, but I've been really busy this week and haven't had any time for blogging. I am so behind on reviews! But not on shopping.

Last Saturday after my guild meeting I went over to the branch of HousingWorks nearest the guild's meeting place and picked up Unprotected: A Memoir, by my fave Billy Porter, star of Pose the tv show and Kinky Boots the Broadway musical. I am a huge fan of Pose; one of my favorite acting buddies was a regular on the first season in the background and I know a bunch of other people who worked on it, and it's a great show. I missed him in Kinky Boots and still kick myself over not getting to see that when it was around with him in the lead role.

Margaret Atwood's latest book, Old Babes in the Wood, came out this week and I rushed right out for it. She is another favorite.

Finally I re-bought an old favorite, Natalie Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones, which I got rid of a few years ago when I thought I'd never write again. That turned to not be true.

This was a week of favorites!

That's it for me this week! Some good things. I'm waiting on a couple of boxes of things that I can tell you about soon, I hope.  What's new on your shelf?
