So I went up to Boston this past weekend for a writing workshop at Grub Street and while I was there got up to a number of adventures.

We got in Friday and I started off strong with a visit to two of my favorite bookstores, Porter Square Books, where I used to work, and Belmont Books, which is run by PSB alum and writer Chris Abouzeid and his wife writer Kathy Crowley. Porter Square Books also had my pal Heather selling her beautiful creations from her
Rare Bird Aesthetics business. I got a pair of earrings and I love them!
Later in the day I visited Raven Used Books and Harvard Bookstore in Harvard Square as well as Barnes & Noble in Burlington.

Porter Square Books, Seaport

On Saturday I had my workshop and visited the new Seaport branch of Porter Square Books, housed in the building with Grub Street. Super fun! Of course I came home with a little haul of books, too, but more on that later in the week. We also visited a fun new-to-me craft store and my husband's favorite comic book store.
We caught up with our friend for dinner last night but missed out on brunch and another visit this morning unfortunately.
We came home early today and are settling back in nicely. It was a whirlwind but a really great weekend. Now I'm looking forward to a fun busy week and more writing and reading.
What are you up to?
